Three years ago, on December 12, 2021, we lost a cherished member of our community, Olusola Solarin. A prominent Nigerian businessman and beloved husband, Olusola’s life was tragically cut short in Pretoria, South Africa. His untimely passing left an irreplaceable void in both the business community and among his loved ones, serving as a sobering reminder of life’s fragility.
Olusola was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, running successful businesses, including pharmaceuticals, clothing, and shoe outlets. His hard work and dedication were an inspiration to many. As the husband of Doris Ikeri-Solarin, who served as the President of the Nigeria Union South Africa (NUSA), Olusola was also a pillar of support for the Nigerian community in South Africa.
Described by those who knew him as brilliant, hardworking, and a motivator, Olusola’s impact extended far beyond his business achievements. He was a community leader who touched many’s lives with generosity and kindness.
On this solemn anniversary, we remember Olusola not for the tragic circumstances of his passing but for his vibrant life and positive influence on those around him. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by his family, friends, and the countless individuals he inspired.
To Doris and the entire Solarin family, we extend our deepest sympathies. May the love and support of the community continue to provide comfort during this difficult time.
Olusola Solarin’s life reminds us of the importance of community, hard work, and compassion. As we honour his memory, let us strive to embody the qualities that made him such a respected and beloved figure.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Mr Olusola Solarin remains a shining light despite his passing. His life gave many other people a source of livelihood and he didn’t enjoy much of his wealth because of his selflessness. May his memories remain blessed forever in Jesus mighty name 💔
