Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has reportedly left Nigeria just days after being released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a video he posted, Bobrisky was seen on what appeared to be an aircraft, showing a screen that hinted at his upcoming destination. He proudly announced that he was flying first class.
“Goodbye for now, Nigeria. This girl purchased a first-class ticket three times; that amounts to over 30 million Naira. Let’s raise the standards for me,” he boasted in the video.
In another clip showcasing his international passport, he humorously noted, “That passport really disfigured my picture.”
Bobrisky’s exit follows his recent brushes with the law, which began in April 2024 when he was sentenced to six months for allegations of naira abuse. However, reports suggest he was only held in Kirikiri Prison for three weeks before he was quietly moved to another location.
Complications escalated in September when social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared an audio recording that allegedly captured Bobrisky discussing attempts to bribe EFCC officials to drop money laundering accusations against him.
On Thursday night, Bobrisky was apprehended after boarding an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight enroute London at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
