South Africa’s second representatives at the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League tournament in Morocco, the University of Western Cape have found themselves in a must-win situation as they face Aigles de la Medina on Tuesday.
UWC, which won the COSAFA zonal qualifiers of the CAF Champions League in August, got off to a terrible start when they lost their opening Group A match 2-0 to TP Mazembe of DR Congo last Saturday in El Jadida.
The Capetonians are making their debut in the tournament.
TP Mazembe and previous finalists AS FAR of Morocco face off in the group’s second game, also on Tuesday.
