Tickets have been sold out ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinal match between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

This potentially thrilling encounter is set to kick off at 18h00 on Saturday at Amakhosi’s home ground, the FNB Stadium in Nascrec, Johannesburg.

The match marks the second face-off this season between these two fierce rivals, following their earlier meeting in the league on September 28. Fans can expect an electrifying atmosphere as both teams vie for a coveted spot in the semifinals of this prestigious cup competition that carries almost R7m prize money for the champions.

Amakhosi have lifted the trophy a record 13 times, while The Brazillians have won it four times.

Both teams’ supporters are encouraged to arrive at the stadium early to avoid congestion and ensure they can enjoy all the festivities. With this being the fourth sold-out match for Kaizer Chiefs in just seven games, the loyalty and passion of the Amakhosi faithful continues to shine brightly.

Gates will open at 15:00 on Saturday to ensure that supporters can have three hours of a smooth entry into the FNB stadium.

Those who do not have tickets to the second sold out affair between the Glamour Boys and Masandawana are encouraged to watch the game on SuperSport Channel 202, with commentary on various SABC radio stations.
