Soweto towers bungee jumping is one of our favorite affordable activities in Johannesburg.
Bungee Jumping on Soweto Towers
Soweto Towers bungee jumping has been on our list of things to do in Soweto for a while now. Unfortunately, we have not taken the plunge yet! The best we came to bungee jumping was to watch other people do it, as demonstrated by the video on this post. This bungee jumping video was taken at the Soweto Towers on a sunny Sunday in the winter of 2018.
The Soweto towers height is 100m and you will have to jump from a suspension bridge which has a cord made with rubber. It will be attached to your feet. It is exciting and definitely a fun and memorable activity for you and your family when next you are in Johannesburg.
Bear in mind that you can only bungee jump between the bodyweight of 35kg to 110kg. The Soweto jump is also only open on Thursdays (12 pm) and Fridays (10 am) during weekdays. During public holidays and weekends, they are open from 10 am. The cost of bungee jumping is R630 per person but if you are a group of 6 or more, discounts are available at R580 per person. On their website, you can pay for your tickets which will be valid for 1 year from the date it was issued. They do not allow kids below the age of 12 to bungee jump.
Interestingly, they also offer very high-quality professional photos and videos to help preserve your memory. For the jump, the DVD cost R170 each, while the photos are R100 each. All cost is inclusive of VAT.
